Ashby Police Department Receives $125,000 Hiring Grant from Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services
ASHBY — Chief of Police Derek J. Pepple is pleased to announce that the Ashby Police Department is the recipient of a $125,000 grant from the United States Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Public Services (COPS) as part of the Office’s FY2025 Hiring Program (CHP). The CHP provides funding to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire additional career law enforcement officers in an effort to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
