Acting Chief Derek J. Pepple would like to announce that the Ashby Police Department is currently seeking applicants for two full-time police officer positions.
The Ashby Police Department is seeking highly motivated, proactive, and community-oriented officers to join the department.
The department offers a competitive salary starting at $61,094 (based on experience) and comprehensive benefits including:
- Town Health Insurance, with 90 percent of premium paid for by the Town
- Annual uniform and cleaning allowances
- Annual stipends for specialized duties
- Shift differential for overnight shifts
- Opportunity for longevity pay
- A new Public Safety Building under construction with anticipated completion this year
Additionally, candidates must be able to meet specific training criteria, including
successful completion of a Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) full-time police academy, have or be able to obtain POST certification, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and solid problem-solving abilities.
