ASHBY — Chief Derek J. Pepple is pleased to report that the Ashby Police Department has promoted Officer Brian Vautour to the position of sergeant.
Sgt. Vautour has served with Ashby Police since 2006. He has served as the department’s court officer, evidence officer, scheduling officer, firearms instructor, field training officer, designated infection control officer and breathalyzer keeper of the records.
Vautour was promoted to acting sergeant in March of 2023, and was sworn in as a permanent sergeant on Jan. 1.
“Officer Vautour has been with the department for over 17 years and he has excelled at every assignment he has been given,” said Chief Pepple. “I am confident that this promotion will help to keep our department moving forward.”
