Chief Fred Alden is pleased to share that the Ashby Police Department is seeking applicants for a full-time Patrol Officer position.
Applicants must meet several requirements, including:
- Possessing a Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- Possessing a Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms
- Able to meet certification criteria as established through Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST)
- Possessing solid problem-solving ability, as well as strong verbal and written skills
Preference will be given to applicants who have successfully completed a full-time Massachusetts Police Training Council-approved academy.
The successful applicant must live within 15 miles of the Town, or commit to moving within that radius during the first year of employment.
